Re-deployable surveillance unit

Current surveillance drones are loud, and unsuitable for long duration operations.

Indian defense and police forces required an alternative which could be deployed in remote regions devoid of network and electrical infrastructure.

As a Product Designer at Proxgy, I led the design and development of the system from early concept exploration to working prototype. My involvement spanned establishing product features, design and final 1:1 working hardware.

WIP prototype

The primary challenge was designing a deployable surveillance system that could operate quietly for long durations while remaining portable, rugged, and independent of network infrastructure. Every design decision had to account for uncertain outdoor conditions, field serviceability, and real-world deployment constraints.

Developing the self-uprighting, auto-balancing mechanism was the most complex and time-intensive part of the project. Solving it successfully became a key milestone and one of the most satisfying moments in the design process.
